We are now all home from the National Show. A show that was characterized by very changeable weather with heavy rain and wind most of the time, but also staying weather with mild summer weather.
We participated this year with four catalog numbers.
The first animal on Thursday morning was Bloksdal Venus de Lady (Marechal x Bloksdal MiLady). She came second in her group, received 23 points and words of praise along the way from judge Hugo Retailleau from France. She was later to participate in the honorary prize competition. The next animal was Bloksdal UltraBelle (Glasgow x Bloksdal Mirabelle -ET), she won her group and received 23 points, but strangely enough was not to participate in the honorary prize competition. The next animal from Bloksdal Charolais was last year’s winner of the predicate Denmark’s best heifer, Bloksdal Unika (Bloksdal Matador -ET V.B. x Bloksdal Opal). Unfortunately, she could not keep up with last year’s result as she, among other things, was judged down on a spot on the muzzle, which is not allowed in France, but something that we do not have rules about in Denmark. She therefore received 22p and was number three in her group. The last animal was Bloksdal Mirabelle -ET (Vaillant x Anabelle). She was number two in her team with 23p and was not going to the honorary prize competition either.
Of the total of 45 animals, 23 were going to participate in this, where the last 11 received an honorary prize. Here Bloksdal Venus de Lady finished outside the ranking.
