This time it is Kristina’s cow Piña Colada (Bloksdal Linux -ET V.B. x Bloksdal Liqueur) who has had a calf. She gave birth to the 49 kg heifer calf herself. The calf is by our previous stock bull, Tornado P Hvirring (Indou PP x Polka Hvirring P).
Piña Colada was awarded the best heifer at the 2022 National Show in Herning and received 24 points (maksimum). This is therefore a special cow for us and the first time she has come with a heifer calf. We are therefore very excited to follow this calf, especially because it indicates that it is polled.
Tornado made a special mark by delivering an impressive yearling weight of 708 kg. He weighed 59 kg at birth, which means he gained 1778 grams per day since he was born. The breed average for bulls in 365 days is 595 kg, while the average for daily gain is 1490 grams in Denmark.
The calf will be named Amarone P V.B. and will be number 442.
