Today we have another bull calf, which has performed a nice 200 days weight.
This time it is Bloksdal Rambo. He was born 200 days ago today, and this morning he weight 368 kg. This gives him an average daily gain of 1555 grams.
The average weight of 200 days for Charolais bull calves in Denmark is 343 kg. Rambo is after the French bull Cristal from GAEC Merlet. On the mother side, he is after Bloksdal Jelana, who is a large breed-typical cow with many qualities. Jelana’s father is Utrillo-BP, he is also French and from SCEA Raymond.
Bloksdal Rambo is for sale.

Another really good 200 day weight

Fantastic 200 dgs weight.
Bloksdal Ronaldo P turns 200 today and he celebrates this with a really nice weight. He weighed 412 kg this morning, which means he has gained an average of 1,785 kg per. day since he was born.
Ronaldo is polled and after the French bull Japon SC (Gaec Giraud). On the mother side he is after Bloksdal Miva. Miva is a tall and long cow with amazing indexes. Indexes that means that she is designated by the Danish Charolais Association as a potential bull mother.

National show 2021 canceled
As expected and understandable, this year’s national show in Herning has also been canceled.
Like last year, it has been canceled due to the ongoing pandemic (COVID-19).
Unlike last year and luckily there is now more light at the end of the tunnel. We can look forward to everyone who wants it, can be vaccinated and society can hopefully open up all over again as soon as possible.
The last opportunity for an animal show in 2021 will for us now be the Kimbrerskuet in Aars in October.

First animal on grass
Today, on the first day of May, we locked the the first animals out in the meadow. We have taken three cows together with our stock bull Bloksdal Matador -ET V.B. out. In recent years we have taken the first animals out at the end of April, but this year a little later due to the cold weather. Depending on the weather, in the coming weeks we will put more animals out in the meadows around Ferslev. The plan is that this summer there will only be sales items, bull calves and show animals at home on the farm.

Spring is on its way
Next weekend we plan to let the first animals out in the meadow together with our stock bull Bloksdal Matador -ET V.B. (Vaillant x Anabelle). However, this winter we have inseminated the majority of the herd. We have 10 animals found pregnant and this after just 12 inseminations. We have used eight different insemination bulls: Lorsini, Gustav, Utrillomic, Major, Uvejr Av Strömsnäs, Japon (Pp), Cristal-DK and Heracles. We are looking forward to the autumn, when the first calves will see the daylight.

Bull calf with fantastic 1 year weight for sale
Bloksdal Roman (391) has 1 year birthday today and is after Bloksdal Matador -ET V.B. x Bloksdal MiLady.
Roman’s birth weight was 57 kg and his 200 dgs weight was 341 kg, while his weight today is as much as 681 kg (73 kg more than the average in Denmark).
Roman’s father, Matador, is the son of show winners in France (Vaillant x Anabelle), while his mother, Bloksdal MiLady, is after Bloksdal Juvel x Bloksdal Unak.
Juvel was a huge bull that we have bred ourselves and which was positive for birth and milk. Both Pekoline, Diamant, Unak and MiLady have won honorary prize at the National Show in Herning. MiLady is registered as designated by the Danish Charolais Association as a potential bull mother due to good indices. The other day she got a good heifer calf of the same pedigree as Roman.
Roman is a bull with good perspectives, he is long and tall, has a lot of race character and has a uniquely good temperament. He has an S-index of 114 and positive for growth, production and calving.
If you need a bull to your cows or to bring to shows, Bloksdal Roman is your new stock Bull.

Easter calf
Easter started with the fact that we today (Thursday 2 April 2021 ed.) got a new calf. It is Bloksdal MiLady (Bloksdal Juvel x Bloksdal Unak -ET), who has given birth to a calf. She got a heifer calf after our current stockbull Bloksdal Matador -ET V.B. (Vaillant x Anabelle). The calf was an incredibly fresh heifer calf of 55 kg, which will be called Special Lady and get no. 403. In 2018, MiLady became the second best Charolais heifer at the National Show in Herning. It is her third calf and a calf that we are very excited about. MiLady has also been appointed as a bull mother by the Danish Charolais Association and we have a very promising full brother of about 1 year going on sale.

60th birthday
The world’s best wife and mother round a sharp corner today. She is turning 60 years old, even though it is not visible and you probably do not quite want it to be. Just REMEMBER Helle that age is just a number and only matters if you are a Charolais who is going to show. THANK YOU so much for you and for making everything possible.
